Tree Felling & Removal

There are two ways to fell a tree; the first is by felling the tree as a whole, which, if done correctly, is the safest method, and the second is to section fell the tree which involves climbing the tree and dismantling it in pieces. Using straight and sectional felling techniques, Guildford Tree Surgeons’ highly trained arborists can safely fell any tree in any location. Tree Pruning & Crown Reductions

It takes years of experience and training to master the art of pruning a tree. Our expert tree surgeons have invested a tremendous amount of time honing their skills to professionally crown reduce, and prune trees in a manner that will maintain their natural shape and health for years to come.

Tree Pollarding

Tree pollarding is only suitable for certain trees and specific uses. If you pollard the wrong tree species or do it the wrong way, you risk causing it to grow back unsafely or kill it altogether.

If you’d like your trees pollarded, Guildford Tree Surgeons’ knowledgeable staff will asses them individually and advise you if they’re suitable.

Stump Grinding

A powerful stump grinder is the most effective way to remove a tree stump. You can hire small stump grinders from tool hire shops, but even these less powerful machines can be hard to handle and, if misused, may result in injury or damage to your property. With that in mind, when it comes to stump grinding, we suggest employing the services of a trained professional. Our operators are all well-trained, qualified and fully insured.

Hedge Cutting

We provide expert hedge trimming and maintenance services for even the most enormous hedges. We employ agile climbers and use specialist machinery, such as MEWPs/Cherry pickers, to access hedges typical gardeners can’t reach. We’ll discuss your vision and requirements before any work commences and promise to complete all work to your exact specifications.

Before any work begins, you or the contractor must check the status of your trees to prevent unlawful work and the risk of fines and prosecution. We check the status of every tree we intend to work on, and if instructed to complete the job, we can even apply for the required permission on your behalf.
